Code 93 is a one-dimensional (1D), variable-length, continuous barcode symbology developed as an enhancement of the earlier Code 39 format. It was designed to provide greater data density, improved security, and more efficient use of label space, while remaining highly reliable and easy to scan.
Unlike standard Code 39, Code 93 is capable of encoding the full 128 ASCII character set, including uppercase and lowercase letters, numeric characters, punctuation, and control characters. This makes it suitable for applications that require more complex data than simple numeric or alphanumeric identifiers.
